Most Wanted

Annie Gould, although I never met her, was my great grandmother.

I believe she was born in Birmingham on 25 Dec 1877 but have a lot of conflicting evidence that says otherwise.

1905 Marriage certificate states age 23 (suggests 1882 as birth year) & deceased father Thomas Gould, a dock yard worker
1911 Census age 30 (suggests 1882) born in Birmingham
1921 Census shows age 39 (suggests 1882) Born in Preston (I assume this should say "Aston" which is an area of Birmingham
1939 Register her birth date is 7 Mar 1886

She lived in Halifax and Middlesbrough with husband David William Keitch

Annie Died of cancer on the 27th August 1955 at St. Johns Hospital, Halifax, Yorkshire.

Any help in positively proving Annies history would be much appreciated

Update 26 Jan 2025: after a couple of DNA matches this case may be getting closer to being solved. It would now appear that Annie was born in Birmingham (Aston) in 1877 to Edward Gould & Ruth Spriggs. Have now received a copy of her birth certificate to check details but as there is also some DNA evidence to back this up there is a strong chance that I'm finally on the right track!

I can identify several of the people in this photo but would love to know who the rest are

I know the exact location of this photo, as a child I'd play in the old Blacksmiths shed which was located in the yard of Hopmans, High Street, Lytchett Matravers.

Possibly St Marys in Lytchett Matravers, anyone know who this couple are?
